Trainventory 6.5

The Trainventory software is an abbreviated version of our popular Visual Train Caboodle program and contains the Model Train inventory component and a Car Card and Waybill section. It was designed to provide a simpler solution for managing collections and when the user is ready he/she may upgrade to Visual Train Caboodle without having to re-enter information. The software which is a full Windows application is designed to run on any personnel computer that supports Windows95/98/NT/2000 and will keep track of the following information including:

A number of individuals have written numerious articles about model railroad layour operation so we will only summarize the workings of Car Cards and Waybills in Trainventory. When printed, this card is folded to store Waybills into and contains enough information is on the card to identify the piece of equipment and the home yard location. The next step is to create waybills for the movement of cars around your layout. You are not limited to the number of waybills that may be created, if you need 8 waybills just enter them into the program, if you need a 100, no problem! Information includes Receiver, Shipper, Lading, Routing, and any special instructions. Once completed these can be printed, folded and stored into the Car Card pocket.

The software was developed to be up and running in minutes with easy to use menus and help at just the touch of the key.

Additional features include many standard reports, including Summary, Detail, and Insurance; a Query Manager will allow the user to create his own reports, labels, spreadsheets, and ASCII text files, external database files (export), and mail-merge files; and a data base recalculation feature to keep your informed as to the value of your model collection.
